About This Place

Nazelie's Lebanese Cuisine, located in the heart of San Pedro, CA, is a charming and authentic Lebanese restaurant that offers an inviting taste of Middle Eastern culinary traditions. Specializing in classic Lebanese dishes, this family-owned gem serves up an array of flavorful delights that truly capture the essence of the region’s vibrant food culture.

Step inside Nazelie’s and you'll notice a warm, welcoming atmosphere infused with a sense of genuine hospitality—a feeling that many patrons appreciate deeply. The ambience is relaxed and intimate, making it a perfect spot for both casual lunches and cozy dinners. Though sometimes quiet, as noted by visitors, the passion behind each dish and the personable nature of the staff more than make up for any lull in the crowd.

The menu reads like a love letter to Lebanese cuisine, featuring a range of well-loved specialties that delight the palate with every bite. Start your meal with classic appetizers like the creamy, smoky Baba Ghanoush, herbaceous and velvety Hummus, or the crisp, golden Falafels. The Grapeleaf Vegetarian rolls offer a light, tangy contrast, while the Fattoush and Tabouleh salads bring fresh, zesty flavors that cleanse the palate beautifully.

Entrees at Nazelie’s are equally enticing. Meat lovers rave about the Lulu Kabob — served with your choice of beef or lamb — and the succulent Filet Mignon Kabob, which showcases tender, perfectly seasoned cuts grilled to perfection. The Chicken Kebab Plate, served on aromatic rice pilaf with grilled peppers and a garlic spread, offers a delicate balance of smoky and savory notes. For those seeking something heartier, the Lamb Chops are a standout, paired beautifully with grilled vegetables and fragrant rice.

Highlighting the menu further is the Chicken Shawarma, celebrated for its tender slices infused with a subtle blend of spices, though a few diners have found it a touch saltier than expected, an adjustment that plenty happily remedy with their own creative twists. Sweet tooths will find solace in the rich, flaky Baklava, praised as “to die for” by regulars, providing a perfect conclusion to the meal.

Beverages here complement the food perfectly, with authentic choices like Jallap, a refreshing rosewater-based drink, and traditional Lebanese coffee, which rounds out the culinary experience with its deep, aromatic notes. Portions may lean on the modest side compared to price for some, but the freshness and quality of ingredients leave a lasting impression of genuine care and culinary skill.

Visitors consistently highlight the friendly and attentive service, often mentioning the owner’s warm hospitality, creating an atmosphere where guests feel like honored family friends rather than just customers. For those who appreciate authentic Lebanese flavors crafted with heart, Nazelie’s Lebanese Cuisine offers a memorable dining experience rich in tradition, flavor, and warmth.

I kind of liked it. At 4pm, this place looked recluse, nobody but the owner and some staff were there. But the food was good. Rice was aromatic. Chicken shawarma was a little too salty though. I doctored this with a sprinkle of cilantro and chopped dates to better fit my taste.

I enjoyed my time here. The lamb kebabs were excellent and I appreciated the pita. The salad was really good as well.

The kind people here are just as sweet as their baklavas which were to die for. The food was excellent and the homemade hummus was divine. We were on a fishing trip and they cooked up our catch for us as well. We will definitely be coming back!!

I tried the beef and chicken kebab plates here and they were sooo good! The meat and all the ingredients were incredibly fresh and great quality. The owner is super nice and friendly. I do agree with the other reviews mentioning the portion sizes and prices. The price is a bit steep for the amount of food served. Besides that I would recommend giving this place a try.
